Kiln Sitter Gauge for Calibration

Need to check your kiln sitter? No problem! We've made a gauge to ensure the sensing rod of your kiln sitter is properly calibrated in relation to the cone supports. This gauge is designed to fit sitters with sensing rods of 3mm diameters (~.115"). If you are unsure about fit, send us a message and we'll do our best to help you track down the manufacturer and rod size of your kiln sitter.

Adjusting the claw and trigger plate on the front of your controller can be quick, easy, and affordable. Our gauge takes the guesswork out of process. Just slip this gauge in place and adjust the trigger plate up or down until it just clears the claw. It's that easy. Your kiln sitter will trip at the proper temperate during every firing.

If this gauge does not fit your sensing rod, please check the rod and cone supports for debris and/or fused material and try again. Over time, unwanted buildup on the rod might interfere with fit. Light, careful cleaning with a brass wire brush can sometimes make all the difference.
