Braided Stainless Wire Tool for Clay, Pottery, Ceramics - will Float

We decided to make these hand-spun wire tools because we grew tired of stabbing ourselves with cheap, multi-strand imports sold by commercial vendors --- the ones that are awesome for about a week before they begin to fray and splinter. And when you have kids in the studio, you don't want those things within reach. Bleeding fingers do not make for a positive experience.

This is our dual-strand stainless steel wire tool. Made from 28-gauge stainless steel, we twist these manually to make sure the wires don't uncoil. The permanent helical braid in the wire lends unmatched strength and durability, and it isn't as prone to "drift" when pulled through clay blocks. It also means your pieces will separate from the wheel a bit easier because the wire imparts a non-linear texture.

Our tools are made with thicker, stronger materials. All cable eventually frays, but this will outlast the best of them. As a bonus, they float! Toss it in your water bucket until you need it again. It won't mind! Made from PETG plastic, this tool is 100% waterproof.
